44.19 Middle Eastern and African Studies
Effective September 2014, there will be no further admission to this program. Students who entered the program prior to September 2014 must complete MEAS and cross-listed MEAS courses by April 30, 2016 and must complete all program requirements by April 30, 2017. The last degree with a MEAS major, minor or certificate will be granted at Spring Convocation 2017.
44.19.1 Certificate in Middle Eastern and African Studies
Students wishing to pursue the Certificate in Middle Eastern and African Studies must apply through Undergraduate Student Services in the Faculty of Arts by the application deadline for graduation (see §11).
Students may pursue the Certificate in Middle Eastern and African Studies by fulfilling existing requirements in their respective disciplines and by completing
24 senior level MEAS and/or cross-listed courses including MEAS 200 and a 300-level MEAS. The Certificate is not available to students completing a Major, Minor or Honors in MEAS.
